Getting Started with the Government Registration Service
If you have purchased our Government Registration Service with your full-year enrolment, you can begin completing your Registration Questionnaire straight away!
What is the Government Registration Service?
When registering your child as a homeschooler in Australia, you are required to apply to the Department of Education. Part of this application process involves providing education plans.
The Department of Education requires learning plans that demonstrate:
How you will cover the Australian Curriculum
Your understanding of your child’s learning needs
How you will facilitate your child’s learning
Note: You do not need to provide past school reports.
Documents Required for Your Application
✔ Scope and Sequence ("Full Year Learning Plan") – Outlines what will be covered each term in alignment with the Australian Curriculum. Euka provides this for you.
✔ Birth Certificate – Proof of your child’s identity.
✔ Individualised Learning Plan – Details where your child is currently at, their learning goals, and how their education will be structured throughout the year. It also includes supporting information on their learning style, goals, and social development.
How to Complete the Individualised Learning Plan
Families can either create this themselves or opt for Euka’s Government Registration Service ($179), available with any full-year enrolment. With this service, you’ll complete a quick Registration Questionnaire via your parent Portal, and we’ll generate an Individualised Education Plan for your child. Once ready, it will be available for download via your parent portal, making it easy to attach to your homeschooling application.
How to Complete the Registration Questionnaire
Follow these steps to access your Registration Service Questionnaire via your Parent Portal:
Log in to your Euka Parent Portal – Click here to log in.
Click Manage Programs.
Select your child’s profile.
Scroll down to Premium Services and click Manage next to Government Registration Service.
Click the drop-down arrow and then select Manage Government Registration Service.
Click Start Registration Questionnaire and complete the required fields.

Can I edit and resubmit my answers if I made a mistake?
Yes! Follow these steps:
If you haven't submitted your registration questionnaire yet, you can still edit your answers by following these steps:
Log in to your Parent Portal and go to Manage Programs.
Select the student for whom you wish to complete the Government Registration Service for.
Click Manage Government Registration Service.
Click Begin/Continue the Government Registration Service.
You can then amend the grade/terms and any answers you wish to update.
If you have already submitted your Registration Questionnaire but need to amend the Education Plan documents you received, you can do so by following these steps:
Log in to your Parent Portal and go to Manage Programs.
Select the student for whom you wish to complete the Government Registration Service.
Click Manage Government Registration Service.
If you would like to complete a new Registration Questionnaire you can do so by clicking the “Start New Registration Tab”
Alternatively, if you only need to update specific sections of your documents, you can do so by selecting the "Edit My Answers" tab.
Is the Government Registration Service a one-time purchase?
The Government Registration Service applies only to the enrolment for which it was purchased. Most states require homeschoolers to re-register every 10-12 months, meaning new education plans are needed for each grade level.
When you enrol into the next grade level or need Euka to create your learning plans again, you can re-enrol via your parent account and re-purchase the Government Registration Service for the new grade level.
Do I need to provide my child’s previous school reports in the Registration Questionnaire or to the Department of Education?
No, you are not required to submit previous school reports to the Department of Education or Euka. However, you can reference these reports in your questionnaire answers along with your personal feedback on your child’s learning progress.
Will I receive instructions once my Education Plans are ready to download?
Yes! Once your child’s education plans have been created, you will receive an email notification as well as a notification banner within your Parent Portal informing you of this. Once you access the documents via your Parent Portal there will be links to our step-by-step Government Registration guide for your state's Department of Education and their specific requirements for submitting these documents.
