What is the Government Reporting Service?
When you register your child as a homeschooler with the Department of Education, they will typically reach out 10-12 months after your registration period starts and ask you to report—aka show evidence of your child’s learning and progress during your registration period. The Government Reporting Service provides you with our handy Government Report Creator tool/dashboard, which can help you create a comprehensive report to give to your state's Department of Education.
How will I know when I need to report?
Easy! The Department of Education will usually let you know your future reporting date once your registration application has been approved—this is often provided via email. If you're unsure of your reporting date, we suggest contacting your state's Department of Education directly. In addition, the Department will typically send reminder emails closer to your reporting date.
How do I show evidence of my child’s progress?
That’s where the Government Report Creator Tool comes in! 🎉
When you report to the Department of Education, you need to show completed Euka work sample lessons. These are specific lessons that clearly showcase a learning outcome. For more information about work samples, please click here.
In addition to completed work samples, you must provide parent comments (annotations) on each sample. This includes what your child did well and areas where they can improve.
How does the Government Report Creator Tool help?
The Government Report Creator Tool acts as a dashboard where you can:

✅ Write and store parent comments
✅ Organise all reporting materials in one place
Once your dashboard is completed, simply click Compile Report, and we will generate a comprehensive report detailing your child’s work samples, your parent comments, and how you have met the learning outcomes for each subject.

Where is the Government Report Creator Dashboard located?
You can find it in your child’s student portal on the left-hand side panel by clicking on the Government Report Creator section. Once you click this tab, you will need to input your unique 4-digit PIN, which was emailed to you shortly after enrolment.

When should I start using the Government Report Creator?
The Government Report Creator is designed to be gradually completed over your enrolment period. Most families log in a few times per term to upload work samples and complete parent comments. As your reporting date approaches, you can finalise any additional sections and compile the report.
Is the Government Reporting Service a one-time purchase?
Like our Government Registration Service, if you wish to utilise it for a new grade level, you will need to re-purchase when you re-enrol for the next grade level course materials via your Parent Portal.
