Registration for Homeschooling in Western Australia - Do It Yourself

Step 1

To apply for registration: Contact your nearest Regional Education office and ask for the Home Education Moderator by following this link
(After you have been in contact with a WA Home Education Moderator, ask for an application form - this should then be lodged with your nearest Regional Education office)

Step 2

What you will need to email to your Home Education Moderator:

Document 1: Scope and Sequence (Summary of the Educational Program)
Attach our Scope and Sequence (The Learning Plan) to your Homeschooling application. These are located in your child's student portal -> "Getting Started Resources" section OR inside your parent account -> "Student Documents"

Document 2: Individualisation Template
You will need to fill out the individualisation template: The example will help you with what to write for your child/children. You can find the individualisation template at the bottom of this article.

This template is just a place to write a few sentences to show how your child/children will relate to each subject. You can include how they feel about the subject, how they went in the past in that subject or any excursions you may do that relate to the subject. The reason for this documentation is to ensure the program is specific to your children/child.

Step 3

Submit your WA Homeschooling application As mentioned, after you have been in contact with a WA Home Education Moderator to ask for an application form, this should be lodged with your nearest Regional Education office.
