Do It Yourself: How to Register for Homeschooling in Victoria, Australia

If you're interested in Homeschooling your child in Victoria, Australia, the process is easy and straightforward. Just follow these five simple steps to register and begin your child's educational journey at home.

Step 1: Application Form

The first step is to download and complete the application form. You can find the form online at this link. Take your time and fill out each section carefully.

To apply for registration, you'll need to complete the online form. The form will ask for basic information about your family and your child's education. Once you've completed the form, you can submit it online and move on to the next step.

Step 2: Required Documents

The next step is to collect the required documentation. This includes proof of your child's identity and other important information. To learn more about the required documents, visit this link.

Make sure to gather all necessary documents before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Full Year Learning Plan

As part of the registration process, you'll need to attach a Scope and Sequence (also known as a full year learning plan) to your application. These documents outline which subjects your child will be learning and how they will be taught.

The Scope and Sequence documents are available in two places: your child's student portal in the "Getting Started Resources" section or in your parent account under the "Student Documents" tab.

Step 4: Fill out the Individualisation Template

We've attached an individualisation template to help you personalise the Scope and Sequence for your child. The example will give you an idea of what to write for your child. This is an important step, as it ensures that the Homeschooling program is tailored to your child's specific needs and interests.

The template is a place for you to write a few sentences about how your child will relate to each subject. You can include their feelings, past experiences, or any relevant activities or excursions you plan to do with them. This documentation is essential for the success of your child's Homeschooling program.

Step 5: Submit Your Application

Once you've completed all the steps above, it's time to submit your application. Email your Homeschooling application to [email protected]. Be sure to attach all required documents, including the Scope and Sequence and individualisation template.
