An Academic Transcript is a single document that gives a snapshot view of a child's achievement based solely on parent feedback.
Unlike the full Euka report (Government Report Creator), the Academic Transcript is not linked to work samples or curriculum outcomes, except in Grade 11 & 12 UPC.
In order to create an Academic Transcript, the parent is provided with a link to complete a short questionnaire. The questions relate to the parent's observations of the student's educational and participation achievements throughout the year. Once completed, this information is sent through to the Euka team in order to be compiled into the Academic Transcript. The final Transcript will show comments pertaining to the parent's feedback on the child's learning and will be emailed to the parent once finalised. Please contact our support team if you require a link to complete a half or full year transcript for your child.
As no formal assessments are evaluated during the Academic Transcript creation, there is no requirement for marking criteria to be included, except in Grade 11 & 12 UPC. As a result, Euka Transcripts will include descriptive comments of the child's achievement rather than letter or percentage grades.
The Academic Transcript is a useful way for parents to communicate their observations of their child's learning throughout the year. It is important to note that the Transcript is only one small part of a full Euka report. It cannot be used in lieu of the report required to fulfill government regulations. It can however be used in situations where students may need a snapshot of achievement in order to move back into mainstream school. In some circumstances, a portfolio or work samples may also be requested by the school. However, if the parent has a full Euka report using the Government Report Creator, all work samples will be included.
The Government Report Creator includes Academic Transcripts as part of the overall report. The Transcript information is completed as one of the steps in the Report Creator.
