An Academic Transcript is a single document that gives a snapshot view of a child's achievement based solely on parent feedback.
Unlike the full Euka report (Government Report Creator), the Academic Transcript is not linked to work samples or curriculum outcomes, except in Grade 11 & 12 Assessed/University Pathway.
To create an Academic Transcript, the process varies depending on the student’s year level and program:
Grades Foundation–10: Academic Transcripts can be generated via the Academic Transcript section within the Government Report Creator Dashboard. Once the final report has been compiled, the Transcript will be included as part of the complete report.
Grades 11–12 (Non-Assessed Program): The parent or guardian of the enrolled student can reach out to the Euka team to request a link to complete the Academic Transcript questionnaire. This short survey is based on parent's observations of the student’s educational and participation achievements throughout the year. Once submitted, this information is compiled by the Euka team into a final Transcript and emailed to the parent.
Grades 11–12 (Assessed / University Pathway): Once all assignments have been submitted, the Academic Transcript is generated by the Euka teaching team based on the student's assessed work. Students will receive a final mark for each subject on the End of Year Transcript, the final mark is the average of the top 3 assignment marks for that subject.
Please note: The Government Report Creator is a premium service add-on and is only available with a full-year enrolment and for Grades Foundation-10.
As no formal assessments are evaluated during the Academic Transcript creation, there is no requirement for marking criteria to be included, except in Grade 11 & 12 Assessed / University Pathway. As a result, Euka Transcripts will include descriptive comments of the child's achievement rather than letter or percentage grades.
The Academic Transcript is a useful way for parents to communicate their observations of their child's learning throughout the year. It is important to note that the Transcript is only one small part of a full Euka report. It cannot be used in lieu of the report required to fulfill government regulations. It can, however, be used in situations where students may need a snapshot of achievement to move back into mainstream school. In some circumstances, a portfolio or work samples may also be requested by the school. However, if the parent has a full Euka report using the Government Report Creator, all work samples will be included.
