Standard Mathematics is designed to give students the opportunity to explore the Grade 9 Math program without going into too much detail. This option is recommended for students who may not enjoy mathematics or who don't see it as an essential subject for their future.

It's important to remember that once you complete your Grade 10 studies and move on to your senior years of schooling, Mathematics is not a compulsory subject anymore. This means you can choose to drop it altogether.

Even if you choose the Standard option, you are still welcome to try out the advanced sheets and join the G9 Advanced Math option. You can even select Maths as a senior subject if you feel comfortable with it later on.

Here's an example of a week in the life of a Grade 9 Math student:

Week 1 Tasks:
​Standard Option: Familiarise yourself with the lesson content, watch the videos, and read over the concepts. Select two "Maths in Action" Activity pages to complete and refer to the lesson content or use the textbook and online resources (links provided below) for help. Try to engage with the content through fun tasks and hands-on activities. Remember, completing the activity sheets is not mandatory.

​Advanced Option: Familiarise yourself with the lesson content, watch the videos, and read over the concepts. You may want to take notes and create summary pages to help you understand the material better. Refer to the lesson content, textbook, and online resources for additional help if needed. Complete all the activity sheets provided (or modified versions as determined by your home educator).

We also provide an electronic textbook as an additional resource for Grade 9 Math. It includes references and extra activities that may be useful. This textbook is not accessible via the Euka program itself, but you can use it for extra materials or worked answers if you feel you need more information.
