General Reporting Information for All States (Except QLD)

This article covers general information regarding Reporting for Homeschool for all states of Australia, excepting Queensland.

Updated over a year ago

We have included Work Samples as assessments throughout our program. Work samples are preferred to tests as they show what a child knows rather than just what they recall.

Please refer to the Parent Planner for a list. These work samples have been specially chosen to show your child’s achievement in the subject.

Match these with the Parent Assessment Checklists provided, also found in the Parent Planner.

Mark off the outcomes and add feedback and comments on each sample. If you find your child has not been able to cover some aspects of the work sample, slow down and go over the work before giving it another try.

The number of work samples required will depend on each state. For clarification of any aspects, please contact the Department of Education in your state.

Ensure you have as many work samples as possible.

We have added more than you require but if you aim for at least 1 or 2 for each subject, each term, you will have a good variety.

Keep all your work samples in a separate folder for easy reference.

You could also include photographs of other work samples and your child’s End of Term certificates. These are automatically generated on the student portal following completion of each Term.
