This article includes Work Sample Examples & some general advice and assistance regarding providing Work Samples.

Updated over a week ago

If you have the Euka reporting service, you already have all you need when you download your report from Euka. This report contains all your work samples as well as annotations required by the department.

If you don’t have the reporting service you will need the following as a minimum:-

1. What to include as Work Samples:

6 Work Samples

Please note the minimum requirements to be submitted:
2 from Maths,
2 from English
2 from one other subject

Ensure your two work samples show an improvement. This means you should add one that has a few issues (things to work towards) and the next work sample that highlights the improvement that can be seen.

When writing your annotations discuss the parts of the work samples that should be improved and then compare and highlight the improvements that can be seen in the second comment. Annotations are written on the Parent Assessment checklists provided in your Parent Planner found in the Parent account and Student portal.

For Example

English Sample 1: - As you can see in the sample, Jack has not understood how to use punctuation marks. This piece of work took him some time to complete. When asked to read it out and correct the punctuation, he was able to find the problems and talk about how he would improve it next time. When he was doing his reading comprehension, he was able to identify the punctuation he had missed in his own work.

English Sample 2: This English work sample shows a huge improvement in Jack's ability to use punctuation. Jack completed the piece of work over two lessons and was able to draft and rewrite it independently. Jack has shown a huge improvement in English both with his written work and his comprehension. The ability to reread and make changes shows that all the work he has done in comprehension has really paid off.

2. Re-Registration

You will also require your registration paperwork for the next grade level. This includes your Individualisation and additional information as well as the Scope and Sequences for the next Grade level.

If you have the Euka registration service you can simply attach the Registration

documentation provided by Euka.
