Understanding Auto-renewals

What is an auto-renewal? How can I check if my enrolment will auto-renew?

Updated yesterday

What is an auto-renewal?

Auto-renewal automatically renews your child’s enrolment at the end of each access period so their learning continues without interruption.

For example:

  • Term Plans renew every 90 days (single term).

  • Yearly Plans renew every 365 days (four consecutive terms).

You can opt out of auto-renewal at any time through your Parent Portal if you prefer to renew manually or let your plan expire.

If your enrolment’s auto-renewal is turned off, this simply means that when your access period ends (90 days for a Term Plan and 365 days for a Yearly Plan), the system will not automatically renew your enrolment for another term or year.

If you’d like to continue your child’s learning later on, you can easily re-enrol at any time. A new enrolment placed via your Parent Portal will restore access to any previously completed courses and include any new term or grade levels you’ve purchased.

It’s important to note that if you are completing an instalment plan, this is considered a yearly enrolment with 365 days of access.

Cancelling your auto-renewal while on an instalment plan will not stop your scheduled payments, these will continue until all four instalments have been paid.

Instead, cancelling your auto-renewal simply means that once your four instalments are complete and your 365 days of access have ended, the system will not automatically renew your enrolment for another year of learning.

FAQs

  1. Log in to your Parent Portal.

  2. Click on the Manage Programs tab.

  3. Select your child’s profile.

  4. Under the Program heading, you’ll see your auto-renewal status:

Active (blue): Auto-renewal is turned on.

Once cancelled, your access will continue until the end of your current term or yearly period, and your plan will not automatically renew after that.

Are all enrolments set to auto-renew?
No, not all enrolments are set to auto-renew.

The following programs are non-renewing by default because they mark a transition point or operate as standalone programs:

  • Grade 6 → transitions to the Secondary Program

  • Grade 10 → transitions to the Senior Program

  • Grade 11 and Grade 12 → are Senior Programs that do not auto-renew

  • Clever Kids Program → operates as a standalone program and does not auto-renew

This means that once your access period for any of these enrolments ends, the system will not automatically enrol you into the next grade level. You can, however, manually enrol into the next Grade level through your Parent Portal whenever you’re ready to continue.

My child is ready to move ahead — can I renew early?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to enrol into the next term or grade level before your current access period finishes.

Please check out the following Help Centre Article on how to renew early

Please note: If you’re currently on an instalment plan, you’ll need to complete all four instalment payments for your existing enrolment before you can enrol into a new grade level.
